Toots for #1!

Good evening, Its been a minute since we had this chance but were knocking on the door of a #1 once again with our official remix of Toots & The Maytals classic sitting which is sitting at #5 right now on the Beatport dnb chart as we write.
We wrote a big press statement to express how we feel about this record which ill put below if anyone wants to read how it came to be. If you`d like to support the release here is the beatport link, if you can`t but you want to support somehow , give us a like and a share on the soundcloud ya champion. We would appreciate it as our dad said we would never live it down if we fucked up one of his favourite songs so if its hits 1 i rekon we might get away with it and do him one proud!

" We don`t do big posts often and we've kept this under wraps for a long time and its been really hard to not spill the beans.  But its finally release day and its truly our lifes honour to have been asked to do an official remix for Toots and the Maytals.
We`ve been listening to their music since we were kids due to our dad being a big fan, and we`ve heard so many remixes of this song in raves over the years and honestly we have loved them all but because of that it made it really difficult to put our own spin on it.
Moreso while we were writing and constantly rewriting this tune trying to put abit of ourselves into it, maybe trying a little to hard at times, toots sadly passed away on September 11th 2020

A blow felt by many cultures of people who appreciated and recognised the solid gold standard he and his band had set for ska and reggae music worldwide.

This remix then became almost impossible to finish due to pressure in our own minds to deliver somthing worthy. It honestly drove us abit over the edge and we deleted various attempts. It was only when we reminded ourselves after having a chance meeting with him at Glastonbury afew years ago after playing a set after them, that Toots did his own thing, they were a band with raw power, their live set was amazing, we sat at the side of the stage  in awe of the energy they still had decades into their career.

Toots had a power of command on the mic, a true entertainer, he owned that stage in his own way, in the same way their recordings stand the test of time, with raw soul and fearlessness. So we rewrote it again with this in mind, from a rawer angle, we tried to create a remix that should be played out live and enjoyed loud with toots vocals and Reese basses working together as one.

I can't say if we succeeded, but our intentions were good and if you'd like to hear it, it went live yesterday and we cant lie, its been a tough year for musician's and we would appreciate your support on this one (Link in comments)
