Request for Book Club Questions
Added 2024-11-04 17:12:58 +0000 UTChello, patrons, we wanted to send out a quick message to let you know about the upcoming bonus episodes for November and December. So, Eleanor and I got to talking and, frankly, there's no way we can cram all of days six and seven of The Name of the Rose plus final thoughts and wrapping up into a single episode. It would be too long and unwieldy and just won't work, so we're splitting it up into two episodes to cover everything better. It's just more The Name of the Rose for your buck and will also allow us to close it out in style instead of being rushed to cram everything in. Additionally, patron MyBartoli suggested in the Discord that we should have a bonus episode to answer any lingering questions that patrons might have from our book club series on The Name of the Rose, which is an amazing idea! So, please reply to this post, DM the show on Patreon, or post in the Discord with any questions you might have about the book or author, rankings you want us to do, random tangents you want to hear, or just whatever and we will riff on it. Hell, if you have questions from any of the other book club or TV club series we've done, throw them in as well. We will focus on TNOTR but will get to others if we can.
So the bonus episodes for November and December will go as follows:
This week: The Name of the Rose, part 7
Later in November: recap of the US election (unless something more interesting comes up)
Early December: The Name of the Rose, part 8 (finale)
Late December: Book Club Questions mailbag
That's what we've got for the rest of 2024 and we look forward to a big year in 2025 too! Thanks again for subscribing, we really appreciate it and it helps both of us out tremendously. This week's regular episode will be a mailbag and it will release on Wednesday with the bonus dropping on Friday.
Thanks,
Luke & Eleanor

What do you think 14th century medieval monks would have made of TNOTR, if they could have read it?
