You can really tell dante enjoyed writing the canto on the simonists the most. "Ah Simon Magnus, and you, all of his wretched followers. Now the trumpets play for YOU BITCH" It's the one and only canto that really feels palpably cathartic. Like he went all the way through hell just to get to there and dunk on Boniface
