Feeling like I'm finally getting back into the swing of things.

In hindsight, 2025 was devastating for my mental health. Anyways, it's a new year, I'm shaking a hell of a lot of rust off, and I'm getting my ass back to work. Made a breakthrough in how I draw gesture and construction, so my figures feel much more pleasing, at least to my eye.

I'm trying to return to my roots, find joy in art again, so expect me to draw more self-indulgent, exploratory, fun or simply nonsense work.

Comic work resumes next week. I owe yall a few pages.

So quick note, I had to give Frank's office a new carpet and couch because I recently swapped over to Blender from Sketchup/Enscape, and the textures for both broke when I converted the file type and I couldn't fix them despite my best efforts, so plz memory-hole his old furniture. Blender gives me so much more freedom and flexibility in terms of compositioning and creating refs and mocking up scenes in 3D and rendering BG's, however, I can't really overstate it.

haven't been super happy with how I've been drawing both Brooke and Mrs. O lately, spending most of my time these last couple days grinding at gesture and figure studies, and trying to draw my own figures with a little more care. Most of the Mrs. O's here were drawn off refs, for example. I find myself stuck in too many comfort zones, doing the same poses, expressions, etc. etc.

I wanna break out of that.
