Added 2023-07-06 13:27:07 +0000 UTCpatrons, here's your ad-free version of this week's regular episode. we answered a question from Jas the Texican
we are back and this time we're doing a deep dive into Medieval wool production and how it undergirded the economies of much of Europe and turned places like England, Flanders, and the cities of the Hanseatic League into petro states for wool. we look at how it was produced, what it meant, why something so simple could come to predominate the continental economy and more!

I'd say with Disney remakes, it's the money grab thing (because raiding a Disney adult's pocket seems to be a very easy thing to do) but also for copyright reasons. If you remake the film, you cancel out the expiry date of the IP. They don't want it going into public domain, the deepest fear of any capitalist in the entertainment biz. 😆
