This map has a semi funny story.
Funny for the players, not so funny for the poor character that lived there.
His name was Bruno and he was an aspiring magician and alchimist. He was quite lazzy by nature and like to cut corners everytime he could. As an young apprentice he jumpt from master to master, arguing with each of them about his talent and the amount of work that he should do. He wasnt very good at neither magic nor alchemy but we was a talented orator so he convinced a lot of people to take him as a pupil.
This time was thrown out of Master's Artur magic workshop so he moved in this tiny house in the forest.
He found by change an ancient ruin and under the broken stones an old pergament. It was writen in an elvish dialect and parts of it were missing.
After some brif research he concluded that it was the recipe to make gold from barren stone. Some of the ingredients were unknown to him but he was confident that he could use something that he already had.
He fallowed the text, put in the parts and sayd the magic words.
KABOOOM!!!!
The caulderon exploded and with it the entire house.
And this is not neither the sad nor the funny part of the story.
Poor Bruno was split in two. His head was send deep into the forest and his body closer to the house. Miraculously, he survived.
My players were fallowing a path through the trees when they hear someone calling them from the bushes. To their big big surprise it was a talking head.
Bruno cryed for help and asked them to find his body. Luckly one of the players told him to clap as hard as he could. They heard the clapping and in short time found Bruno's body as well.
One of the players was so curious about this magic event that wanted to test Bruno's survibility by sinking his head into a bucket of water.
Poor Bruno didnt really appreciate the gesture.
I hope you like it, enjoy
