I don't know what to do..
Added 2024-09-21 16:53:29 +0000 UTCHi, how are you guys doing? I hope you are doing fine, in my case my situation is not improving, i'm still tight on money, even some days there's nothing left on the fridge.
At this point i'm losing hope, motivation and will to get out of the bed. I'm still doing commissions, but the money isn't enough to cover all my needs
I don't know if i could change some rewards to be commission-related, like discounts and stuff so i can get more.
I don't know if i should lower the prices.
I don't know if i just finish what's is currently in progress and quit completly.
I will appreciate any advice in the comments , thanks for reading.

I guess any of my issues is the hurry to finish things, i always have that pressure on me. About the job, i'm looking for one, but it will take a while since here is kinda hard and competitive. Thank you!

2024-09-22 14:46:16 +0000 UTCor don't be hurry with works, take your time. if no much support then focus on your life with new job until you check on fanbox balance, work on art or not. you didn't have to quit if you take your time. some artists have part-time job even others have full-time job

2024-09-21 21:44:43 +0000 UTCI had seen some artist have a YCH list for "quick commissions"... sort of a "pre-made" comms with different poses and no BG (or very basic ones)... that could get potential comm buyers (hopefully!). Whislists like amazon wishlist or throne... you set items you want to get and people/fans can buy or fund them (with more expensive stuff).

Yes, in fact it is exhausting, at first I was doing more or less well, but now I need more money than before on average, because I have more responsibilities. Those you said there could work, I can make an YCH, right now is on the Tier 3 reward, but not as an auction (I guess I can try to make it as an auction). The tip jar sounds good too, I'm gonna give it a look! What are whislists? Thank you again for all this info, I'll grab some ideas to see if I can make them work!

2024-09-21 19:56:42 +0000 UTCSorry to hear about the dire situation... joined in hopes it could help a little... =( For what I spoke with other artists, this career is like a long, long marathon... can feel pretty exhausting and desperate, put runners must endure it with lots of patienc... >.< Creating some social links (engagement, fan base, artist-to-artist interactions, etc.) seems pretty handy (specially with growing followers). Price wise, these feel pretty decent and competitive. Some artist, when fundings are running low, throw in some kind of offer like YCH (which seem like a fast way to get income). Also, I feel having some tip-jar system (like kofi or similar) or whislists come pretty handy... just in case (not hurting to have one running, right?) Hope I could be of any help... and wishing you the best! 🙏🙏
