Added 2021-08-02 14:25:22 +0000 UTChello patrons! thanks so much for your support! this is just a brief update to say that the next Patron-exclusive episode, the Dark Ages, will be out next week! apologies that it has taken some time to get a new bonus episode out but things have been extremely hectic the last couple of months for me (Luke) and it has been tough to find time. however, we're getting back on track!
also, we're asking for additional questions for the show! yall have provided so many good ones so far and we're looking for more!

I think of the elements of truth in the idea of a "dark age" is the significantly lower urban population of the middle ages. When I read that the population of Rome in the middle ages was about 10% of its height during the empire I wonder what life for people in Rome and other post-Roman cities would've been like. Was it a post apocalyptic landscape with thousands of abandoned buildings?
