TWAB: Plans for August

My apartment is still leaking, all these months later. My jaw still hurts, all these months later. But there is still much work to be done, all these months later. There's always work to be done.

Plan for August:

-- Pull back on random Sketch Dumps (unless a hyper-fixation strikes)
-- Female Link Friday, continue with Summer Theme
-- Catch up on a Dungeon Master Request from a few months ago
-- Attempt to create ONE "Sexy Fan Art" illustration using Popular Subject Matter

Tentative Plans:

-- Further consideration of "Beaumont" Sunday Event
-- Concept Art / Style Experimentation for Comic Project
-- Game Dev Progress of any kind...

Let's be real; it's hard to make time for comics - especially when I'm not consistent or good enough for the job. But if I keep delaying the creation process, then I'll never improve. While it is not entirely my fault (since I'm required to cater to the public), I'm worried that I've formed a habit of avoiding that challenge in order to avoid failure. So, I think I need to tackle that issue.

So here's what I think: instead of making comics as good as possible, perhaps I should try to make comics as easy as possible. I think I should experiment with techniques to aid this goal, like reducing detail and developing shortcuts to accomplish goals in a way that is stylistically coherent.

I think July was an exceptionally good month for pushing my work further than I usually do (rendering, colours, and backgrounds), so I'd like to continue improving in August too - but I should be mindful to not push myself too hard and risk burning out.

Don't forget to eat & sleep.
