Yep. I will fully admit it. In my excitement to get the perfect action shot, I definitely forgot to factor in the fact that the Wonderbolts might have a wind cone shortly behind them while flying at possibly hundreds of miles per hour and maybe I shouldn't have been so close. The tinnitus is just starting to clear up. Unlike Rainbow Dash, I can admit that, because I know that making excuses and trying to overcompensate for it will just make it look worse than it already is. So take that, Rainbow Dash. I can't fly like you and never could. But I've got the power of humility.
Honestly, I don't know why Rainbow Dash wasn't more at peace with it. She's literally been on the receiving end of nearly twice as much slapstick as most of the other characters.
I enjoyed this episode a lot. But that's the case for most episodes, isn't it? Regardless. It seems like every time one of these characters gets what they've been working towards - Rarity's boutique, Rainbow Dash joining the Wonderbolts, the Cutie Mark Crusaders getting their cutie marks - the fandom gets divided and most of them completely misunderstand what the episode was going for in its lesson.
This type of thing is normal. I wouldn't say that makes it okay. But basically, if you're going to be a part of a group (especially coming in new to one that's already tightly knit together), you should expect it and not let things get to you the way it did to Rainbow Dash. But I'll have more to say on that tomorrow.
