This is also a good reminder that Maska, however distant is still important to the story. I wonder how much of Talla's recent exploits she has heard of, if so what her opinion on Talla's situation might be. Her involvement in the conspiracy has grown so much since the beginning. From a Keeper of Lips not privy to any serious genealogical information, to a valued Acolyte of the Genealogists leading a sensitive continental-concerning cutting edge research initiative. Maska's insights have the potential to affect Temple policy on a continental level, even if the exact findings are never disclosed, to the general public. Its also a subtle reminder that to some degree, their reputation might precede them, thou possibly through different filters. As they present their Sigil, this will most likely elicit questions. A Goddess might feel obligated to respect comity regarding their sister city's Sigil, but that doesn't mean they, and by extension their agents, wont have questions. Clearly Goddesses' Sigils don't grow on trees. If you got one, there’s gotta be a good reason, and that reason is likely to be of interest to another Goddess. Endowment certainly sent along some kind of introduction, probably including verification of Talla’s point upgrade eligibility, and Tina’s and Eletta’s current progress. I wouldn’t be surprised if Shanata, Atreya (as interested sisters) or Pril added additional information. Form will undoubtedly sent communication as well, they have 5 (including Zoe) sisters involved in this undertaking after all, as well as their pending secondary form upgrades, (Zoe, just having made neophyte might be due for an in div upgrade too). I would not be surprised if Facials communication, in particular is VERY different from what Tight and Iron receive, and possibly worded in a manner that has multiple meaning, some more obvious than others. I loved Facials earlier letter to “the pyromaniacs” - ie: lovers of fire. On the surface; such seemingly whimsical missives both add a foil of levity to the more serious contexts surrounding them, as well as delivering multiple layers of information. It was entertaining to see the mixtures of jovial good-natured fun, consternation and the groups majority ultimately dismissing that the women Facial were just nut-jobs, or “weird,” contrasted to the terror that Talla felt because she understood the deeper message, consequences and the possibility that Zoe might have ratted them out for promotion. Course even if Zoe did, (and we don’t know that) she might see it ENTIRELY different, as one of “the little girls,” she might not see it as "ratting out," but rather "ratting in." Talla could use some help/guidance and Facial could help with that. Indeed she might even gain a few new sisters like what happened with Yua. It might be a matter of inclusion, not exclusion, something COMPLETELY different, but a technicality that maybe only a woman of Facial might fully appreciate. Clearly, Talla wasn’t happy with how everything went down. Last but certainly, not least Sweetness and particularly the Genealogists will definitely want to warn any Conspirator aligned faction that Beshanna's ignorant Goddess has irresponsibly unleashed not one, but two Goddess borns into the wild, thus potentially disrupting plans generations in the making. They will probably want to smooth over any eyebrow-raising developments, provided it could be done without raising suspicion. They will most likely want to salvage the pair if at all possible, when this is all over.
