Office AU Background WIP
Added 2020-04-28 18:30:05 +0000 UTCI'd like to formally announce that I HATE drawing backgrounds.
I have a hard time with perspective and backgrounds always take me a stupid amount of time to draw. But luckily I found a 3D model of Dunder Mifflin that I can use as reference. It's saving my life right now!
I have made a master background file in Clip Studio Paint at a size much bigger than 1920x1080 (which is the canvas size I work with for the final video). The reason I've made it larger is so I can compensate for camera movements without sacrificing resolution in case of zooms. Then I'll go into the 3D model and position the camera for the scene I'm planning and take a screenshot. In CSP, I scale the screenshot up to fit the canvas and start blocking out the background with the colors I've chosen for Gabriel's building.
There are several differences, like less desks and more areas/items that make it look like a fashion company, but the floor plan is the same (minus the annex and I've combined the break room and kitchen).
The good news is once I make a background I can reuse it for later stories that call for it, so hopefully that means I'll have less background work to do the further into this we get!
