Hiatus and Other Stuff

November has been pretty rough on me. I moved departments at my job and that took a while to settle into a new routine (I get home exhausted at 7pm and just want to relax), and I've been sick the past few days.

As I mentioned in a previous text post, this Patreon will be going on a hiatus due to irl and personal stuff. While this page wasn't as successful as I thought it would become, I did learn from it. When will come back? Even I'm not sure. When I really feel really "ready" I guess....

[Warship Girls/Azur Lane] Halloween

Gneisenau (AL) & Indiana (WSG) shared so much in common that they want to celebrate Slut-o-ween together. Nice.

Since I need to post this ASAP(art block sucks also been super busy ;_;), both levels get the Hi-res versions. Cherish them, for my art are my babies and I love them (ok, most of them anyway). Check the attachment area for them!

There's a lot to say but I'm not sure what to exactly put down, so here's a stream-of-conscience babbling about art, my thoughts, my self-doubt, and what I want to do:

Running a Patreon is an interesting experience. To me, this feels more like a deluxe tip-jar than a "full featured" Patreon. And I noticed why (dundunduuuuun):

[Warship Girls] Chess Game (HiRes)

That certainly was a fun ride. Would I do it again? Certainly. (But later, much later. Maybe I will be faster next time.....)

The full sizes are in the attachments below since they are huge PNGs. Also included are the checkmate position and how I had originally envisioned the wall. Having a red wall when most of the characters are wearing red wasn't that good for composition and making the 2 main ones stand out, so blue was chosen instead.

Fun Fact: This preview is only at 35% of original size. The actual pic is around 3500x2400, probably my biggest to date. Wowzers! Too big as a wallpaper for a 1080p monitor, too small for a 4k one, such is life!

Had a busy, tiring week. Also I'm slow when doing lineart, who knew? Not helped by all the details I killed myself over (but I luv these boats so I would do it again...maybe). Next, coloring.

Prince of Wales isn't happy about being checkmated by Nelson, on a non-existing (for now) chess board with non-existing pieces.

for the delay and slack in posting. Personal stuff had come up along with getting used to having a (relatively normal) job. I came home exhuased and just wanting to relax, July hasn't been too nice with me.

Things are starting to go smoothly now and I hope to get back into the swing of things in a few days. I'll try to make it up next month.
