What you mean is more extreme in the anime. It's often cartoony and breaks serious moments the earlier you are in the story the more often it happens. The Anime intensified this to fit into lore(waaaaay to spoilery and hard to explain just go with it). The Manga cuts like 80% of the Cartoony screamy moments out. If you're disturbed by dark moments that plot into humor you'd be better with the Manga for sure. If you download the MangaPlus App you can read whole One Piece and you'd catch up in like 2 weeks with the present storyline. And the present storyline has funny situations still yes, but is utterly dark and terrifying mostly. The fun and party is over mostly. And if you don't like to read manga, just wait for Netflix's Remake ''the one piece''. They might change some stuff too so they can develop the dark undertone of the later arcs. Sorry for writing like a maniac! Don't feel forced or sth :D just wanted to let you know that you're welcome and we would all love you to experience the revelations of the big mysteries with us. Remember these eps dropped like 2002. I really love how they paced it even if it might be an unpopular opinion it just feels like dune or sth. They take theire time to build up scenery sometimes, to underline characters emotions and some of these "panels" might be my fav of anime even to nowdays. The characters are so awesomely drawn and lighted sometimes since alabasta goes with these warmish neon-tones. Every arc goes with different backround lores/themes. You'll have ancient tombs and mysteries all around. And they're all connected. Btw you made my day with the triple drop♥️fr. A good point to go for them too.

omg the pacing and art style in this anime, now I remember it's getting worse here 🫠 although I understand why about pacing, I wish they did justice to Oda's art in manga　, especially Luffy's fight scene, it's so incredible in manga panels. Low-budget outsourcing was a thing for popular manga because they could make a profit anyway without quality...especially one piece, the most selling manga. no wonder Oda started a project to re-do the anime...he didn't want to get involved in the anime until a recent few movies but I guess he can't help to do the TV series too 😅
