The anime takes it time to show pasts of characters, this is because it wants you to get attached to the characters first and seeing their current progress and mentality before it shows what happened in the past to give them this mentality/mindset. Trust me, watch on and you'll love the experience

I had the same thoughts about Usopp and his character trait. The best way to see it is he is literally us (a normal human) living in a world of super powers and freak human strengths. So while yes, he’s annoying, his fears and actions would be what us normal humans would do seeing powers before our eyes. It’s only the little nuances like when they call Luffy weak to his face, you get to see what we as a normal human would do to back up our friends. Imo , still a lesser crew member (in strength only), but he epitomizes exactly what we would do in his situation. And I appreciate that.

Well yeah, of course watching the show is the best way to experience the show 😂 I’ve been watching OP since 2004, and that video gets me hyped to watch OP even after being a fan for so long. But yeah I guess it has spoilers, but they honestly wouldn’t even know what they are looking at because scenes cut so quick and they would have no context. But whatever it was just a suggestion, I’m not worried about it 👍

Regarding Usopp and courage, I think being brave is not "not fearing anything", but being scared and overcoming it and doing it anyway. Luffy for example I would say is just an empty headed idiot which looks like courage when he rushes head on against people like Crocodile. And this is no hate for Luffy I love him, but having no sense of danger is not necessarily courage

well they did explain it, red foot zeff kicking style was so powerfull, he would leave footprints in bedrocks and stained in blood of his enemies, sanji cooks like him, looks like him, fight like him, like father like son

Guys, just focus on the Straw Hats' progression. There is a reason they are the way they are for a reason. Trust Oda Sensei's writing. One piece fails to other anime with visuals (altho i personally like them) but it greatly outshines them with its writing. You are gonna fall in love with this anime as it goes on more and more

Regarding Sanji's strength (what we know so far) : Zeff was a renowned, feared and respected pirate captain that used to sail the Grand Line. His moniker was Red Leg Zeff, because his legs were covered in blood from all the people he beat. Just think of what other characters are in the Grand Line and you'll get an idea of how strong Zeff is. Not to mention, when Sanji was struck by a Fishman Karate technique in Arlong Park, he got up and said how one of Zeff's regular kicks was 100 times stronger than that. Fishmen are supposed to be way stronger than regular humans, mind you. So yes, Zeff was insanely strong, and Sanji inherited his techniques and strength by being his disciple. Also in the One Piece world not everyone needs a Devil Fruit or some other power to be crazy strong. Sometimes people just are.

Say what you want about Usopp, but you can't deny he's a TANK. He might not be the strongest, but he can take a beating and get back up. Watching back this is probably one of my favorite fights, the tag team too makes it fun.
