It make sense, you make sense (hard to use logic and science on fictional characters lol) But I am pretty sure it has been referred at least two times (first from ebisu and then by Kakashi) Can have misunderstood tho… My logic is, sure enough the seal is a great part of containing the demons But without the host chakra it wouldn’t be effective enough. Think about every time the chakra of the demon leaked through the seal was when Naruto was in a weakened state (physically or mentally). For Gaara, it’s the same, he was mentally sick and sleep deprived. On top of that chose to let it go. If it was only for the power of the seal, it wouldn’t matter. I’m thinking of another elements that’s yet to come. I’ll post it in the comment below (please do not read you are not caught up, its a spoiler)

They do expend a lot when they have to suppress it but im pretty sure its more like it messes up the balance of their chakra, so they cant use chakra as easily? The actual seal is what suppresses almost everything until the seal starts to break/leak then it becomes more of a burden. Also different seals have different purposes, naruto and garra had different seals. Garra's was for protection, narutos was specialized to completely seal off half(as mentioned in the ep) and also to have layers so that it could be stopped easier. In theory if Gaara had the same seal he'd prolly have a lot better time. But since he was always under threat of being assassinated and going to war the protection one without the blocks made more sense. Hopefully that makes some sense lmao

Pretty sure the "dragon" is also the same thing he does to suck the Tailed Beast out and remember how it usually takes 10 AKATSUKI members to power the statue to keep it going for that(AND I dont think Pain had to be there!). Considering that it really makes sense how it drained Nagato so much when he powered it by himself and made him lose like 20-30years. I absolutely loved the debrief from this couple episodes ! You have some good theories and questions ! Regarding Gaara strength without his demon, I’ll just remind you what have been said about Naruto : his chakra is 10 times « stronger » than Kakashi’s. If it wasn’t for him using most of his power to maintain the seal, it would have been 100 times stronger than kakashi’s. Gaara has two older siblings but neither of them was compatible with the demon. I assume they were not strong enough. I’m saying all of that just to say Jinchuriki are strong enough the suppress those calamities capable to destroy countries.

That has to be a miscalculation because (the person who shall not be named) was 12 at the time and it's stated they were 4 years older than this person at the time even though it's likely the person was more around the age of 13 because nearly a year passed when they were "away". And this person is currently at the age of 31 while the others are currently 35 so I'd argue Yahiko was closer to the age of 17 or 16. Regardless his body didnt age up, he was just tall at that age.

Yahiko was clearly an adult when he died. I know Nagato said "they were naive children" but that's all relative because as of this episode Konan and him are probably around Kakashi/Sasori age. At the time of the Hanzo confrontation they were probably in their 20s so still older than Naruto (hence not teenagers). The Pain Tendo body is younger than Nagato himself but the difference can't be that big because Choji described it to Tsunade as between the ages of 25 to 30.

She is a kunoichi whose focus is on healing and she even work on growing stronger so she she can fight and defend herself to not be in the others way. That's her strength. 47:00 just so you know guys I'm saying it again. -Sorry for the long text (its worth it)- Nagato's powers are the 6 Paths of Pain (this is inspired in the 6 paths of Buddhism) each of which has a different name. In summary, and to not mess with confusing names, Pain (Nagato) can use all the powers from the 6. That is the powers of the weapons (bald guy), repulsion and attraction (from Tendo pain), summoning, Justus absorption, soul manipulation and mind reading, and so on and so forth. Additionally, we have seen more of his justu, but has not been labelled as his. Like during Kakashi's team battle with Itachi on the pursue of the Kazekage arc, the "real" Itachi clone they were fighting was pains', the summoning were they put the tailed beast is his, the 5 seal barrier is also his, and the videocall on zoom ability is also his. That dragon is a variation of the soul stealing ability from one of the Pains. Let's just say pain is using that ability to its maximum potential, meaning that potentially, he has the power to use all his 6 abilities at max potential, with a drawback of course (shortening his lifespan) as stated during the Shinra Tensei. It's confusing ik, don't worry too much about it.

so if you remember from this episode, jiraiya told nagato that the sage of the six paths was the only other person known to have the rinnegan. When nagato was being taught by jiraiya, nagato mentioned that he wanted to learn ninjutsu to help him control his rinnegan because he doesn't want to accidentally kill people. Because the sage of the six paths is known to the hidden leaf village historically, jiraiya (i assume) taught him about the abilities the sage of the six paths was able to do. On top of that, i'm sure to some extent all ocular jutsu comes with a degree of intuition. Like nobody was around to teach ametirasu to itachi

To briefly explain the powers of Pain there are essentially 7 different abilities diriving from Buddhism religion. The ability to summon the king of hell who can remove the soul others by removing their tongue. The ability to have futuristic mechanical abilities. You saw it in the caves whenever they extracted a Bijuu out of a Jinchuuriki. Also Gaara's hair is meant to be auburn not red like the others. Concerning the Rinnegan, think of it this way: All of the jutsu the 6 paths of Pain could do are Nagato's jutsu, he simply divided them in 6. So one of them could snatch souls like he did to Shizune, one of them could pull and push which is the "barrier" he made, summoning, weapons, etc... That's why Nagato is so op. Gaara and all jinchuriki use some of their own chakra to suppress the tailed beasts they have inside them. So Gaara not being a jinchuriki host anymore means that hes lost that power of course, but it does also mean he now has 100% of his own chakra in his possession so his own abilities are stronger than before and he cal last way longer in battle.
