2024-03-12 18:50:53 +0000 UTCThe soldier who went along with Bojji and knows sign language, he's got the same VA as Midoriya (Deku) from MHA, Senta from Hell's Paradise (the executioner with glasses who had an admiration for the ninja girl who secreted stuff xD), Zeke from AoT, Keats from 86 (don't know if you've met him yet, I'm not watching 86 at the moment :p). And also the main character in Yowamushi Pedal if you've seen that one :p

She also had to be strict with Bojji as he was the older of the siblings and first in line. Of course, she gave birth to Daidus and he would be her priority but she still cared for Bojji. As a king, people think that Bojji is weak since he is small and was not able to fight. Queen Hiling was being overprotective with Bojji and always lecturing him.

The first two episodes set her up as the "mean stepmother", but she's not! She's much more nuanced. It challenges the audiences snap judgements because so much of storytelling relies on tropes. Every character is grey with different motivations and even good people can have goals and motivations that run counter to what the main character wants. And maybe what the main character wants isn't right for him just yet. Or maybe it is! That's what this show gives us. Dope, right?

I think she saw Boji stay this really fragile little boy and wants to protect him and she got too protective of him. Maybe thats why she doesnt want Boji to be King, bc its dangerous. And being confused and sceptical about characters is VERY normal in this show....
