It is a show about humanity as a whole and even though it takes place in a fantasy world, the themes centralize around the interactions between people and the ants only emphasize that through the comparisons and contrasts between humans and ants.

I don't think Zeno and Netero would have been able to pull it off there at the palace with the Royal Guard there and back then, they didnt even know what their abilities were or how strong they are.

No matter what happens, the King's already over the moment he went alone...that's why Netero needed to separate him with Royal Guards, but even the separation was all accidental because of Komugi injured. Such a good writing.

The fact that a low-budget bomb could destroy the most powerful being we have seen so far plays into Togashi's themes. Really good stuff imo
