It's weird how Sakura is taking heat for this obvious question, but Shikamaru had to do a whole ass Sherlock Holmes moment to deduce that it was the Akatsuki. Regardless of what we, the viewers know, the anime is making it clear narratively that none of them would just expect the Akatsuki to make such a bold move. Even when they went for Gaara, it was actually a failed infiltration rather than an all out assault. This kind of attack is not the Akatsuki's MO up to this point. Let's also not forget that there are still entire other nations out there even if the Akatsuki is currently what the Leaf Village is focused on. It could have been literally anybody, we as the viewers just know it's the Akatsuki because we're watching a show and know how storytelling works.

Based on the information shared so far you should basically know that the eyes allow Pain to have mastery over so many powers (the ones we are seeing in these battles) There are six powers that’s why it’s called the 6 paths of Pain. Also I think it has some feature of perceiving chakra and so on and so forth similar to a Sharingan. And that’s it, regarding what you know so far. I hope that helps you enjoy more these episodes!

Even though Konoha have a peace treaty currently, there are risk of another countries sending their ninjas to attack the Land of Fire, Konoha village. There is a higher chance of Akatsuki attacking Konoha because they will come for Naruto but they don't know when they will come for Naruto. If you are suddenly attacked, you won't immediately know who it is until you get solid intel of the attackers. In defense of all the ninjas, especially Sakura, they had no idea who the attackers could be. Sakura had an inkling of who it could be but wasn't sure since she has not seen any of the Akatsuki members who are attacking them now. Also Akatsuki usually work in pairs, they only had intel of ONE intruder. That may have mislead them to think it is not Akatsuki at first thought and may be some other intruder.

The two characters Omoi and Karui who just got introduced (the ones Lord Raikage summoned) have such funny names for their personalities. Omoi means heavy in Japanese which reflects his overthinking nature, and Karui means light in Japanese which reflects how easy going she is and how she takes things lightly xD.

Yeah... the dialogue and pacing are just terrible these last 4 episodes. They could have easily cut bits and squeezed them together. I know they wanted to draw out Naruto's training session but damn. Luckily the next episodes get way better. I guess Kishimoto just wasn't feeling it those chapters. The best part was honestly Naruto receiving the "Tales of a Gutsy Ninja" book from Pa toad sage. Other than that, I could have done without all the dialogue from Naruto and kept all the training dialogue about Sage mode and nature energy from Pa just speaking over scenes of Naruto doing different bits of training. One or two episodes at most including all the bits from the Cloud village and Sasuke's team Taka. Thanks for the reaction and don't worry, it really does satisfy here shortly. But first... the world must know Pain. :)

Ep 156: As per usual, anime characters have names that mean something and sometimes their characters are based around it. Like the 3 cloud ninja we were introduced to! Omoi - His name means "heavy" but also "serious, grave, critical", and his character takes everything seriously. Karui - Her name means "light" but also "trivial, unimportant, nonchalant", and her character takes everything lightly. Samui (blonde with big boobs) - Her name means "cold" but also "dull, indifferent" and she's a very cool and distant character. sorry but for sakura ofc she didnt know that akatsuki would be attack konoha, she still in shocked that her village was suddenly attacked… but in the later second she had a thought that it would be attacked by the akatsuki but her mind interrupted by a lil girl. Yeah she’s smart but not just her, everyone would be shocked at first cause no one expecting that konoha would be attacked by akatasuki.

One of the best things about that episode/those episodes is, how much faith/hope someone insane like Tsunade has in a kid like Naruto. When thinking about a battle wtih Akatsuki, she didn't think about Kakashi/Yamato or anyone else, but Naruto (and not as an object to protect).

Quite the opposite in fact. Naruto's voice actress is usually what turns people off of the dub. As for Pain. Troy Baker's pain voice is top notch so I don't understand where you think it loses depth. Honestly his Pain and the VAs for the Uchihas are the only VAs that can even remotely surpass the sub
