My favorite aspect of this show is how it depicts “What can come into fruition because of a simple misunderstanding” when it’s compounded and backed up by thicc plot armor haha

(It can be a choice or just habit.) Also Rimuru's apparent age is maybe 8 or 9 at this point, yet he speaks as an adult. This is his natural size without resorting to special measures. Rimuru often admits speaking is not his strong suit, especially in public, and he tends to speak more casually than the situation would normally call for, while conversely speaking too formally in other cases, though not as often.

2023-10-15 13:17:40 +0000 UTCi know what you mean about his choice of words sometimes. he did it with eren aswell when she asked if shizu was eaten the same way as ifrit. instead of saying ‘she requested it and then she passed immediately after, i’m sorry’ or something like that he just says ‘it’s the only burial i could give her’ like can we give them a bit more information please so it doesn’t look like you just murdered her for no reason ?? 🤣🤣 i know they didn’t take his actions in a negative way but i do feel like he purposely omits information to try and get a rise out of people sometimes 😭

And he spent a couple months alone in the cave afterwards. Also, every single fight until now he has tried to de-escalate it first, tried to get the wolfs to run, tried to just intimidate the thugs outside Dwargon, didn't react to Vesta spilling a drink on him. In this case with the Ogres he tried talking to them multiple times before they clearly attacked him, he then didn't even hurt them just tried showing them a bit of power in hopes they finally wanted to listen. And it worked, the pink haired ogre stepped up

2023-10-15 06:12:14 +0000 UTCThey didn't go into much detail on this so here's a bit. Because of Shizu's "Degenerate", Rimuru spent quite a bit of time in Veldora's Cave testing and combining skills. Ifrit -Body Double -Fire Skills -Multilayer Barrier (puts up barriers, properties can be chosen) Shizu -Degenerate -Fire Skills as well So Rimuru can now use fire because of those skills, and its "Black Flame" because its got the Tempest attribute, like Black Lightning. Also he normally has to first Mimic then use the skill of each race, but because of Shizu's Degenerate and Great Sage being a G he can now

He uses masculine speech in Japanese, for instance, he uses the pronoun "ore" to refer to himself (although there is a female character later on who uses male speech). However, there is no 3rd person "he" or "she" per se in Japanese.

The way Rimuru was written, he don't care as much as us viewer think he is about death and killing and stuff like that. I believe that he reincarnate but as a monster so he don't have the same level of humanity he had back then. Even back the he seemed like a good guy but we don't know much about him and general and we now see his way of thinking now. Since he got reincarnated, he met a powerful dragon friend, he discovered that he is kind of op and without even trying, he his the chief of a village. At that point, for him this is a video game and he see everybody as pnj that are either nice or bad.

The anime's subtitles use he, the light novels both he and she, many people just say Rimuru instead, in other words it just depends on who's speaking. Japanese doesn't really work in that way anyways, so it might be easiest to just use he or Rimuru, since that's what you will see in the anime.
