I've been binging One Piece on Netflix and as much as I enjoy the authentic experience I definitely wouldn't want to watch Naruto raw again XD Thanks for the suggestion!

The cuts are sloppy, moments in the anime adaptation don't go one to one with the manga which makes the editing wonky, and emotional moments don't get time to breathe. And it's not even complete. They haven't finished quite a few arcs. Also some of the funniest scenes are anime only. For your first watch, choosing One Pace would be like robbing yourself of valuable good times. If you start One Piece, just make your way through at a leisurely pace. Don't try to skip stuff to catch up. By the time you get to where weekly watchers/readers are, you'll want to spend as much time as possible with our crew. The show isn't a macho shonen beat 'em up series, it's mostly an adventure and mystery series, so it needs the sort of careful consideration you're watching Hunter x Hunter with. Everything is dripping with hidden meaning and significance.

There's a fan project called "One Pace", which is One Piece episodes except it cuts out unnecessary flashbacks, super long still shots, etc. and will save you heaps of time watching without actually missing the depth the anime provides. Something to consider as its less daunting.

2023-10-18 08:08:49 +0000 UTCBy the way, if or when you start the anime, you’ll most likely feel like you know a lot about the beginning of One Piece but you’ll be proved wrong straight away, because while it is very much the same story, it’s also so different at the same time. Including personalities of characters and how the bonds between some of the characters are actually built. You’ll definitely love the Anime a lot more even though the Live Action was fire aswell.

2023-10-14 23:00:18 +0000 UTCThat’s what I was considering, but I truly truly don’t think it is. Because there’s ZERO context of what’s happening besides hype and beautiful emotional story telling. With a anime so long and so many episodes the quick little flashes from a couple minute video won’t even be fully remembered you know? More like when they do reach those moments it would be a sweet like “oh yeah, that’s right!!” Moment after you know? I definitely they should. All the other known one piece channels did and it blew up and was just a great reaction vid. I’d literally save their reaction to it to watch all the time haha

I’ve been debating, but it’s like the main video I’ve always used to convince others to start one piece and it’s worked literally every time so far😅😂

If they waited for the LA throughout watching it would take quite a bit longer, with a mess of a schedule. Also openings show the crew and its quite difficult to forget characters, especially with how uniqee the show is. Granted this is all my opinion.

They will forget about the openings once they resume season two. But everything is up to them. I'm here just hoping a intro opening video

In the anime, the impact was definitely stronger but the Live Action did well. I think for many, Nami's story arc definitely sealed the deal for them to One Piece. I can't wait for you guys to start the One Piece anime!!! I LOVE ONE PIECE! XD

2023-10-14 01:06:10 +0000 UTCIm with you on them reacting to all the openings, its cool seeing people react to the evolution of the anime and react to what they are seeing without context, plus some of the songs are really great. However if they plan to react to the anime anytime soon I would be hesitant for them to do so because they do kinda spoil some things… IE the third opening spoiled a plot twist… I know a lot of people who watched the anime experienced this though 😂… But if they dont plan to react to the anime anytime soon I say react to the openings because by the time they get to those points in the anime they will likely have forgotten what they had seen in the openings.

Would love for you guys to watch all one piece opening. They don't contain big spoilers and the anime is so long you'll forget by the time you get there. Just to get you and us hyped
