I differ a bit from what others seem to be saying about whether he can take a form or use its Skills. For instance, he can Analyze anything he comes into direct contact with (if he has the power, since he doesn't have the ability to Analyze the Unlimited Imprisonment fully). He is not in contact with Veldora since he can't get through the barrier/seal surrounding him. He doesn't need to kill or consume the being to Analyze it. Some die, some do not. If Veldora hadn't pulled Ifrit to him, he might have been consumed, but either way, Rimuru was able to Analyze Ifrit. Remember he was also able to Analyze Icicle Lance and learn how to use it.

You guys forget Rimuru was once human. Why would he attack and eat humans?-.- Ifrit is a spirit, not human. Ifrit was consumed by Rimuru so he is just alive locked in Rimuru's belly. Veldora is inside Rimuru so Rimuru can find a way to release Veldora from the seal. The rest of the monsters that are dead was consumed so he can use their powers and take their form. Rimuru took Shizu's human form because he is more comfortable in human form since he was one back in the other world. As for the gender part, you will find out next episode. (But some have already spoiled it in the comments so ya I give up commenting as too many already gave it away.)

The next few episodes will answer your questions about Rimuru's new form. Rimuru is still a man even after taking on Shizu's form. It's more accurate to say he has the traits of his own gender combined with Shizu's. He is still a man though.

At this point Rimuru doesn't have unlimited space. Part of Predator Skills is Analysis, but the barrier around Veldora prevents that. He did Analyze Ifrit, but didn't absorb him. The main advantage of predator form is meeting humans and being relatively inconspicuous among them, for example if he goes to human cities, and being able to wield weapons, some of which give a sizable advantage. There's one more advantage I can't say yet.

Veldora was in a seal and Rimuru ate the entire thing (seal included) to analyze the seal in order to break them later on. So both Ifrit and Veldora is still alive inside Rimuru. It seems like every monsters in the cave where Rimuru came from (including the wolf) was killed before eaten by Rimuru, and that's probably why Rimuru was able to dissolve their body and taken their forms just like he did to Shizue, that is my assumption. And no before Shizue he never fought let alone killed a human, he even made a rule to the goblin to never harm a human, if you can remember a few episode back.

Seen this show couple of times fully, but this part where she talks about the hero has huge mystery plot points. I do have my guess about it, but you guys need to see at least until end of season 1. PS. Before Ron asks, Rimuru can't turn to Dragon as he didn't actually eat Veldora fully. He is just storing the barrier inside him where Veldora resides.

You’re about to get into one of my favorite storylines of these series though. He can transform into what he consumes. He hasn’t consumed Veldora so he won’t be able to transform into a dragon.

When he uses predator if the being is alive they are stored in his body jus like Valdora until the great sage can figure out how to break the barrier and if they being he consumes is dead than he can take on their ablities and mimic them.

Rimuru abilities simplified: When he eats, he can either store or consume. Consuming something grants him their abilities and form. Veldora was stored until he learns how to break the seal/barrier. Which is why he cannot use his form or abilities. Unlike Shizu, which was consumed.

Rimuru is genderless as a slime and whatever other forms he takes on. Rimuru could probably choose a gender but doesn’t out of love and respect for shizu. Rimuru didn’t eat Veldora because of the barrier. Even without that he is still the ultimate cheat code.

When Rimuru uses predator, he digests them to obtain their form and skills, along with Sage analyzing them. So he can then use Mimicry to assume their form, with his own flair to it. Slimes are genderless so all the things he transforms into are androgynous. He doesnt necessarily need to digest the things he takes in, like Veldora and the seal around him. Or the goblins he healed back in the beginning, He just gobbled them up and bathed them in the potions he was keeping inside him and spat them out! 😄Thus he hasn't actually digested a goblin yet so he can't mimic their form.

This was not explained very well in the anime, but part of Rimuru's Predator skill is that he can store an unlimited number of things in his 'stomach'. This was highlighted earlier on when he stored all those healing potions inside himself. This is what he did to Veldora and Ifrit. For the others (like Shizu, the dire wolf, snake, armosaurus, etc.) he fully dissolved them into himself, absorbing their abilities and likeness in the process. So Predator is really multiple skills rolled into one.

For some extra info on Rimuru and his new appearance(from how I understand it): he was a man in his past life which is why he has he/him pronouns. However, slimes do not have a gender. When he used the predator skill on Shizu he got all of her skills and the ability to mimick her appearance. The form we see him take after he eats her has shizu's face on an androgynous body. In the scene that he's naked after first taking that form we briefly see his chest has no nipples, I always assumed he has no genitals either.

rimuru can not take the form of veldora since he absorbed veldoro with the barrier so his predator skill never touched veldora himself but only the barrier. Also rimuru and al it's forms are genderless but with the mindset of a male.

Rimuru didn't eat Veldora, he ate the CURSE containing Veldora! That being said he won't be able to transform into him until AFTER they figure out how to break the curse containing Veldora (which is literally the entire reason Rimuru ate him in the first place). As for why Rimuru doesn't maintain the form of the other creatures he's eaten, it probably has something to do w/ him feeling more comfortable and like himself as a slime (as was stated towards the end of this episode when he was monologuing). And he'll probably take the human form more often over the other forms bc that form is most familiar to him and its a way for him to honor Shizu 👍👍👍

Rimuru ate a wolf and ifrit and absorbed them through predator, however Veldora was absorbed with the barrier around him so I believe thats keeping him safe. he's waiting until they can figure out a way to break him out of the barrier.

Rest in peace Shizu. Regarding predator and eating, when something is absorbed it can be analysed and skills and such can be gained from a being's body, especially if they're dead, makes it easier. However, Veldora himself wasn't eaten, just his prison, the barrier, Unlimited Imprisonment, which surrounds him. Thus, only the barrier can be analysed, and not Veldora. Meaning Veldora cannot be mimicked as he cannot be analysed from outside the barrier. This explanation is simplified for ease of understanding. Loving the videos as usual.

She is right, only reason he stays in slime form because he doesn't seem as threatening. Human form is going to be more for looks. Because you remember how they treated him in the city as a slime. Also, the “Mimic” option of predator basically lets him transform into stuff he’s eaten. If the mass of the species he’s turning into is a lot larger than that of a slime, it uses magicules “magic” to compensate for the missing mass. That’s the reason when he turns into a Tempest Wolf, or Snake, he shoot’s a black cloud (magicules) before transforming In the case of a human body tho, it’s more similar in mass so he doesn’t shoot a black cloud when transforming. And the most important thing, he doesn’t need to keep consuming magicules too keep a large body

So it works a little like this Predator is a skill with many functions 1. It let’s him eat stuff 2. Stores the stuff he eats (which means it has a subspace where he can store stuff) 3. Analyzes it (tells him info, race, etc 4. Mimic (let’s him turn into stuff he’s eaten 5. It can separate harmful components that can’t be consumed or analyzed So, remember when he ate Veladora he ate him with the whole skill, “Unlimited Imprisonment” because he couldn’t analyze it and destroy it. He only pulled Veldora and the skill into his subspace “Stomach” so he could in time analyze it He can’t turn dragon because he hasn’t really consumed Veldora, he’s still inside the prison So he cant “Analyze” Veldora so that he can then “Mimic” him
