I would recommend reading the LN (it's also one of the easiest to find online to read, just google Slime Reader). The anime with its 2 season has only adapted the first 6 out of 20 volumes and trust me you don't wanna miss out on all the crazy stuff 😭

2023-10-08 03:22:06 +0000 UTCShizu said she heard the line "I'm not a bad slime" from someone else who also came from Japan, and though it wasn't specified that the person was from the same time as her, I don't think they had games with slimes during the war. Judging from the hints of the timelines from when Shizu was first summoned, it was probably sometime around 1940 when the US bombed Japan. I researched where the reference came from and it's from a Japanese rpg called Dragon Quest, so the other person is most likely from the 80's-2000's.

I just read in an article that Season 3 will cover parts of Volume 7 of the LN and Volume 19 of the manga. About the manga, someone else can do a better job of advising you what to read than I can.

2023-10-06 13:07:25 +0000 UTCThis show leaves out quite a bit of the source material (not plot so much as background), which means you might not always get enough information to get to the exact correct conclusions all the time. It's interesting how differently people try to put the clues together in all the reactions I've seen to this. I'll say this, that there are no random scenes, they will come back eventually (even if it's Season 3 or beyond).
