Season 1 Episode 12 - The wisemen in the council said: Whoever wins the royal selection will get into a covenant with the dragon. Seems like roswaal wants emilia to win to get access to the dragon. 3. Season 2 episode 14 - Roswaal shown in the flashback offering a deal to emilia - if she takes the throne, he might know away to unfreeze the ppl in elior forest. 4. Season 2 episode 20 - Roswaal said: For 400 years I've only ever loved one woman (referring to echidna). This implies his motivations have something to do with her.

2023-09-01 03:31:12 +0000 UTCNot spoilers, just clarifications Roswal uses the crystal to make it snow in the sanctuary every loop, it’s what his tome of wisdom tells him to do And about making Emilia the ruler, it was stated in an episode of season 1 that his goal is “to slay the dragon”. We still don’t know what he means by that, but that’s his ultimate goal.
