When there's a flag, time outs or things like running out the side lines the clock stops in Football. In soccer they don't stop the clock but they do keep track of how much time is being wasted where the clock would normally be stopped in other sports. So additional time is however much time they calculated during each half of the game and is added back in when the half would normally be over.

Obtaining your own long-distance pass by yourself is really blatantly impressive! I'm just saying this to let you know how badass Chigiri actually is! 😂😂😂 A game is given additional time to compensate for time losses that have occurred, such as substitutions, injuries, interruptions or illegal delays. A distinction is made between the times that must be replayed and the time that is only to be replayed as part of the benefit determination. And this additional time is at the referee's decision and is appended to each half (45 minutes plus additional time). By the way, if there are further time losses during added time, these must also be made up for in accordance with the rules.

2023-08-21 23:37:12 +0000 UTCAdditional time is added at the end of each half, depending on the amount of freekicks/fouls or maybe if a player got hurt and had to be treated. Because the time doesnt stop in these moments, it gets added. What u Guys were talking about in the end is an additional 30 mins seperated into 2 halfs of 15 mins. That only happens if there HAS TO BE a winner, think like tournaments and stuff but in the normal "season" there are also draws. I saw a game recently were 8 mins were added bc the winning team was stalling time, which happens a lot in football.

2023-08-21 23:11:17 +0000 UTCso basically the additional time at the end of the 90 minutes is the time that the ball is out of play for that half for example if theres an injury in the first half and it takes a while for the person to get off the field then there will be more time added on at the end of that half for what they missed out on. Same goes for the second half, it takes into account the throw ins, corners, free kicks, penalties, fouls, injuries and now as of recently theyve added in the time for time wasting. 2023-08-21 23:10:53 +0000 UTCadditional time comes from when the play is stopped for any reason for example a foul or the ball goes out of play and then the time that was taken up is added on to the end of that 45 minute half to make sure that time wasting isn't too much of a problem and to make sure that fans get the full 90 minute game. This may not be the best of descriptions but hopefully it clears it up a bit. I also suggest you maybe just watch one or two FOOTBALL games just to help you get a better understanding on the things that might be confusing you
