honestly that's an overlooked part of ging's suckiness, he left his son with a 13 year old damn. Maybe she wanted to go out and be a hunter or have adventures, now she's stuck raising a kid.

Disagree. I would agree the highs of the arc you are talking about top all. However, it runs too long and has a lot of filler episodes where not much happens. York New does not have the same problems, so overall I find it to be better

oh it's a whole different story from manga, Togashi never mentioned about the mom 😫 I don't really get why 1999 version did that (and they changed a lot of things other than this) but anyway, the 2011 cut the custody explanation so yeah it's always better to refer to the original manga

It was mentioned in the 1999 version of HxH anime. If I remember it correctly, in the 1999 version, it was stated that Gon's mother was Mito-san's sister. She died while Ging was away doing his job as a hunter. When Gon's mother died, Ging came back to take Gon. But he lost the custody case against Mito-san so he left again. Ron and Michelle are currently watching the 2011 version in which the story about Gon's parents was revised.

Ron was confused about Gon and Killua taking bath together at 12 but you guys saw in Haikyuu they all took bath together 😂 Even though it's a cultural thing but nowadays there are some opinions about restriction being considerated for public bath house...

Wait, I forgot but in anime they never explained about how Ging didn't abandoned Gon and actually Mito was the one who took the custody from Ging at the court? I remember she explained on the manga but it seems being cut in the anime... Anyway, this is one of my favorite episodes in HxH 😁 I love this little slice-of-life moment between Killua and Gon.

Up to a certain age, 'family baths' are extremely common in Japan. Also - Killua changes clothes more than any other deuteragonist in anime. Another dope thing about him. The one thing that you can count on for most of the series is no matter the seriousness of the arc - Gon and Killua are doing kid things together.

I think for shounen standards it is one of the best arts. Technical direction it just does not fall short, York New that is and the story is just real good too. Ant is very good in the grand scheme of the show.

I feel like the next arcs are equally or more action packed tbh. But I get what you mean, unlike heavens arena, they're not necessarily centered around the fights and matchups themself, the fights more so just naturally support the current direction and development of the story. Basically, the fights are centered around the plot instead of vice versa.

Guys, the Heavens Arena arc was heavily focused on fights, but HxH is more an adventure anime. So even if there are fights, next arcs won't be as action-packed as that one.

Hell yeah man. York New has the best pacing, character exploration and it is a bit of a turning point in tone I find. I respect that you and others may not like as much, but overall I find it is a very much loved and highly regarded arc in anime
