Even a black bear dude, a black bear is significantly larger and stronger than a leopard, and leopards easily kill gorillas to eat. I don't think there's a single credible recorded instance of a leopard being killed by a silverback, much less any other gorilla.

Leopards regularly eat gorillas. It's no contest. The main problem gorillas run into is their skin is just like ours and tears easily, while nearly all mammalian predators have an extra thin layer of fat that makes their skin loose, protecting or from tearing. Even off a gorilla gets a good bite in, they have trouble tearing the predators skin or finding purchase in the tissue below it. That's why leopards can even take on silverbacks if they're alone. Against a grizzly bear, which is capable of killing a bull moose, which are incredibly large and poweful, with a bad attitude, there's no point in even having the discussion.

Not even man. Sheer agility? With respect, have you ever seen bears fight? Side to side speed is not even a factor, not even sure what that means or how it would be useful in any way. Bite force is actually stronger than a bears, only problem is they don't use it for fights but eating. There is no evidence to support them biting during fights. Actually on the contrary, gorillas have been observed attacking other gorillas, as well as ppl, and never bit them, because it is not in there nature. They are not predators, let alone apex like bears. Gorillas get killed by jaguars on the reg. Intelligence is a non factor, they are not going to use it in any way that will give them the upper hand. You are acting like they will make a plan and execute it. They are animals, when it comes to fighting they are simply going to brawl it out. Picking something up and hitting the bear will do NO damage. Bears have nearly decapitated moose with a single paw swipe. Gorilla gets rolled 100% of the time. Only thing on par with a bear would be a Hippo, Tiger, and Elephant. All 3 of which would also body a Gorilla.

I always back Gorillas in these discussions. What they may give up in lumbering size/weight to the largest bears, they more than make up for in sheer agility, side to side speed, bite power to match, strength, athleticism... but the intelligence factor can't be ignored either. Gorillas are also known to use anything they can pick up to bash, smash, or throw at their foes. Give me the more well rounded and smarter hulking brute with brains over the mindless killing machine anyday! Also, all the cursing when Granny T revealed one of her secret Jutsu's had me cracking up and turning down my volume with all the F bombs hahaha. Glad it got you guys like it did some of us ;)

You are in the minority on that. There are no fillers in the manga. Fillers in anime are when story arcs are created to give time for the story to be developed by the mangaka. They have no consequences for what happens to the main story in fact anything consequential that happens in Fillers does not appear when the primary story restarts.

Will you guys be watching any of the Naruto movies? The best time frame to watch the first Naruto movie is before episode 107, since it would match up with everything you've learned about the story so far. I believe that would provide a better experience then trying to watch the movies after the show is over.

To clarify, he is using jutsu. The 3rd didnt seal his jutsu he sealed his arms so he cant use hand signs. So orochimaru can only use basic jutsu that dont require hand signs

Chameleon's can travel at speeds upto 21 mph. I think the reason chameleon's give off the impression that they're slow is because they move slowly while trying to camouflage with the surroundings and moving fast would defeat the purpose :p

Many have explained and like what Michelle said, the arc is full of information about the Sannin and some of their skills and summoning jutsu, Naruto mastered Rasengan, a S-tier jutsu created by the 4th Hokage, learned more about Kabuto and Orochimaru, Tsunade overcoming her fear of blood thanks to Naruto and accepted the role of 5th Hokage. Naruto basically survived with his sheer will to never give up even to death and Tsunade's recovery jutsu. She is not legendary for nothing and her skills are the best of the best. The tears are just visual for audience at that scene. For summoning jutsu, not everyone can summon this level as the Sannin. The 3rd Hokage summoning animal jutsu, Enma was in fact a caricature based on the Chinese Legendary Monkey King Sun Wu Kong, even though it is not gigantic like the Sannin but I can guraantee it is the strongest monkey summon one can summon and may even be stronger than the Sannins animal summons.

The animals are not random and come from the Japanese Folktale, "The Heroic Tales of Jiraiya." In the folktale, Jiraiya summons toads, Orochimaru summons snakes, and Tsunade summons slugs. I don’t think this arc was “where we started” like Ron said because not only did we get background on all three sannin, but naruto also learned the damn rasengan. A jutsu that can temporarily immobilize kabuto is huge for his arsenal. There was also sasuke and itachi backstory, and starting to introduce the akatsuki and their goals. And on top of everything else, they just elected a new hokage. This arc was huge for worldbuilding and backstory.

Orochimaru hasn’t used any Jutsu, the sword is within him and he can take it out at will, and his snake-like powers are a part of him naturally through body modification. He can’t use Jutsu on his own.

Orochimaru is technically the main villain in this part of the Naruto series for example the whole thing with Sasuke in the chunin exams, he basically killed the 3rd hokage and destroyed the leaf then there was this thing with Tsunade. He’s done the most villain like stuff so far

I am getting what you mean, Ron, but this Arc was just a big build up. You are right with saying that we are at nearly the same story point as before. But there are a lot of information, people and skills we got out of this arc that are plot relevant for the future. Especially the learning of the Rasengan is S Tier importance and is a little bit overlooked by you :D Even the three Sannin are scared/impressed by this Jutsu and the potential of Naruto learning it that fast.

I also recommend skipping the fillers. Most Naruto fans, upon rewatch, do not watch them since they almost entirely non-canon and minimally produced in terms of animation and story. There are lists online that will show the episodes to skip and the episodes to watch. Hope this helps 👍

I was about to say the exact same thing. I feel like lots of reactors seem to miss the detail about creating the jutsu. Totally agree with the comparison between the difficulty to develope it since it is basically having to create a technique from little to no reference, while learning how to use it comes with prior knowledge of how to do so. Only thing I think I'd change about your statement is that it's not really Naruto mastering it, but more so being able to use it.

Please don't forget that filler episodes are coming from now on! The new arc starts at episode 107, but episode 101 is the only filler episode that I would recommend you to watch because it's really freaking funny And to answer your question: the reason why Orochimaru can still use jutsus even though his arms are sealed is because you don't have to do hand signs for every jutsu Also, Naruto wasn't healed by Tsunade's tears. I don't remember what exactly caused this, but it was most likely the chakra of the nine-tailed fox. But it definitely wasn't Tsunade's tears! (By the way, I also think the reason that people are getting healed by tears is pretty stupid and boring, Ron 😂😂) Any ninja can theoretically summon an animal, you just have to be able to meet the necessary requirements (these animals are called familiar spirits, by the way). And not all of them are that huge, there are some that are normal-sized. Remember how Kakashi summoned all the dogs? The dogs are his familiar spirits and they are of normal size 🐕🐕🐕

I agree with Michelle about the fact that these episode were full of informations and little details. That is what make the story what it is. For me the introduction of Tsunade is a big game changer for Naruto : he is the host of the nine tail fox and he is kind of a dunce/dumb for everyone in the leaf village. We saw it in the different interactions he had. There is people who trust his growth, but even them (Iruka, Kakashi, the 3rd Hokage) never showed there full trust in his potential. It’s like they’re waiting for him to grow stronger before anything else. However, she really believe in him how he is now. And she is the 5th Hokage ! People who’ll still under estimate him are simply to stupid to be mentioned.

Where the main character (jiraiya) who uses shape-shifting magic to turn into a giant toad falls in love with a woman who is a master in slug magic. His arc enemy (yashagoro) used serpent magic.

Kabuto: “I cut the connection between his chakra network and the Fox so the Fox can’t heal him” Them: “did the Fox heal him?” 😂 No, Tsunade was healing him, the tears had nothing to do with it. She’s considered the greatest medical ninja of all time. Don’t forget that when Lee was fighting Gaara they went into his backstory and Guy was asking them what they wanted to do, TenTen (the girl with Lee and Neji) said she wanted to grow up to be just like her idol Tsunade. She was hinted at being that great early into the story. Also, Orochimaru can still use chakra, the Hokage just took away his ability to use hand signs. Stuff that doesn’t require hand signs, Orochimaru can still do (like using his snake and tongue abilities)

And to clarify because a lot of first time reactors get this detail wrong. The 4th Hokage took 3 years to develop the jutsu. Naruto took basically a week to master it. To develop a jutsu is much harder than mastering it. Its like the Chidori from Kakashi. Sasuke learned it in a month.

so it wasnt tears healing guys. lol it was just done to be symbolic. It was Tsunade and Naruto's willpower that eventually healed him. Also Orochimaru cant use hand signs to do jutsu but that sword snake thing is part of his natural anatomy so to say and came from his mouth. The seal did not stop that.
