Killua is not evil. As Killua explained in the episode, he comes from a family of assassins. So he was also raised exactly like an assassin, so he didn't had a typical family life. But as Killua also mentioned in the episode, he didn't want to be an assassin anymore and the expectations his parents had for him weren't what he wanted for himself. And the fact that he hurt his mother and brother when he ran away from home is not exactly unusual in that sense, since his family makes their money from violence and death. But Michelle is right, Killua could have killed his mother and brother but didn't do it. This means that despite his weird upbringing, he still loves his family. The whole thing with Killua and his family is really interesting anyway, and you'll learn more about that soon. Also, the reason why Killua was so aggressive towards Netero was because he felt provoked by him. Netero had purposely tested first if Gon and Killua could sense his presence, Killua could, but Gon couldn't. Just then Killua felt like someone was playing with him. And then Netero ran all the way through the airship so he could greet Gon and Killua from the other side at the end. And then when Gon asked Netero if he was the one who had that strong presence just a few seconds ago, and Netero then pretended innocent, Killua got angry because he then felt provoked by Netero and thought he was not taken seriously. And his training as an assassin is exactly why he felt that way, because it's insulting for an assassin to be underestimated and not taken seriously

Killua's is raised as an assassin from a family of assassins. Stabbing and killing probably meant nothing to him. However, he is still a 12 year old kid.
