I’m sure someone has already told you guys that the owls you saw in the commercial break scene represent Bokuto and Akaashi from Fukurodani but I didn’t see it here so…that’s where land vs air comes from, Nekoma cats = land and Fukurodani owls = air <3 all the love

2023-08-06 17:00:21 +0000 UTCSo what Lev realized at the end, is that since Yaku (the injured libero) was a really good libero, even if he flails his arms around, Yaku is good enough to receive wherever the ball goes. But when he was replaced by Shibayama, he's not as skilled as Yaku. So Lev chose to block a certain portion by fixing his stance, and not flailing around. So that Shibayama can see clearly and dig without worrying if Lev's hands might touch the ball. Its a really cool realization that way too many watchers miss.

If you notice, the little Hinata crow when slowly and steadily flies, he goes up and does not go back down but when he flies fast he goes up and back down. It's depicting that rushing into things does not necessary help growth and can have negative impacts, so slow and steady sometimes wins the race which we have been seeing in Hinata where he has been brushing up on his basics since with Grandpa Ukai, Coach Ukai, Karasuno, practice with other teams and now the first years special camp Hinata's ball boy arc.

Sakusa's the germophobe guy with the mask and one of the top 3 spikers in the country. Fukurodani has Bokuto who is one of the top 5 in the country iirc. And then we have Nekoma. Overall super excited to see them all play at nationals xD

The one they lost in the first ep was against Fukurodani. It was a tournament for the three Tokyo representative spots. Tokyo always has two representative teams because of their population, but since they are also the host, they get one additional team (the host prefecture always gets an additional spot). At the end you can see that the bottom of the poster says: Representative 1st slot: Itachiyama (Who we don’t know much about at this point). Representative 2nd slot: Fururodani (This is the team that represents the owls by the way!) Venue sponsor representative: Nekoma So basically Nekoma lost to Fururodani but beat Nohebi. They got 3rd place in the Tokyo tournament and secured their spot at Nationals.
