Ya'll nailed it with the food pills/Senzu Bean(lol) during the reaction, definitely helped him while Granny T didn't have any energy bars hidden away in her cleavage unfortunately. Won't go much further as my fellow patrons did a great job explaining a lot of her self imposed nerfs, whether unwillingly or willingly. Glad ya'll recognized something was off. The other reason why Tsunade looks weak is because she has ptsd of blood because of what happened to her Ex and little brother, if she wasn’t afraid of blood she would wipe Kabuto out straight away. Also her main thing is medical and healing attributes and she’s the best in that field in all of Naruto by a long shot, which makes her have chance of being a really good Hokage, she’d bring something to the table that none of the other hokages could do

And that's exactly the difference in speed between (pill) Kabuto and Kakashi at this time. Kakashi's sharingan wouldn't do anything to stop him from getting blitzed and one-shot by the chakra scalpel.

Kakashi has sharingan, he could try to genjutsu him, also he's probably faster than Tsunade, because of the sharingan, aswell, so maybe he'd be able to actually dodge Kabuto's attacks.

Food pills are different from senzu beans; food pill (amp to physical ability and chakra) whereas Senzu Beans (heals the user). With that said, some food pills do restore blood/heal user, so it depends on what food pill the ninja takes

2023-06-15 15:44:03 +0000 UTCRon, Kabuto is a genius actually, he doesn't have a strong bloodline, that would give him any special chakra or powers, but as you can see in that episode, he's good at close combat, his reflexes are insane (when he blocked Shizune's poison needles with his Headband), he has a great knowledge of human body & know shitload of jutsus too. Also it's almost impossible to be as strong to be able to counter everyone, like people have their counters etc.

She even managed to ensure that nowadays there must always be at least one medicine ninja in a combat squad on the battlefield (remember, she talked to the Third Hokage about this in the last few episodes). While she's not so great at hand-to-hand combat, her superhuman strength makes up for that weakness. So the only reason Kabuto managed to defeat her so easily in that moment was because of the food pill (which gave him some strength back) and the fact that he knew she was afraid of blood. So she wasn't in her best shape, especially mentally! And maybe you missed it, but Tsunade didn't panic about the blood because Kabuto hurt her, but because he cut himself, knowing very well that she would go into a kind of shock then. By the way, the flashback explaining why Tsunade is so afraid of blood came in an earlier episode. The moment where she was shown desperately trying to save her boyfriend Dan, but he still died right in her arms was this flashback. With the scene where she stared in shock at her hands, which were smeared with the blood of her deceased boyfriend, the show wanted to convey to viewers where her fear of blood came from.

I don't have the most extensive Naruto knowledge but I don't think Hokage is who's ever the strongest in combat specifically. I think it's the overall ability and leadership. That's not to say Tsunade can't throw hands. She can throw hands better than most while being a legendary healer. Plus she's nerfed rn with hemophobia and has probably been rusty by running away from being a ninja since idk how long ago her love died.

Orochimaru can’t use his arms, Jiraiya is still drugged, and Tsunade has been out of practice for decades (he died when she was in her 20’s and she’s 50 now. She hasn’t fought or trained since then)

Althouuuughhhh, episode 101 might be one of the fillers that you guys might take an interest in (especially Michelle) XD I'm not sure about others, but that's one of the filler episodes that I hope u guys react to! Anyways, you guys are getting kind of close to the end of OG naruto, I suggest that you guys to take note of the filler episodes because there are TONS of those towards the end, which means y'all have to skip a lot (I'm not kidding, by a lot i mean at least 76 episodes straight). Just have a list ready for that as soon as you reach ep 100 :))

Her Sannin-level feats lay in her healing abilities and medical knowledge What Kabuto ate at first was a food pill. It's the same thing that Kiba ate during his Chuunin Exam fight against Naruto. It boost your chakra. Kabuto got the upper hand on Tsunade, but at the same time Tsunade is probably out of practice. All she has been doing is drinking a gambling for god knows how long. I'd be out of shape too
