2023-06-15 03:49:18 +0000 UTCI agree I can t hate Canute. He was thrusted into the position of extreme power while being able to rely on no one...already with severe trauma. The only thing he was able to cling to in the past few years where his beliefs..that are not in their essence wrong- In a way he is doing his best, but he is cursed with the most common curse of humanity - upbrining. It is hard to be a totally different version of your father when the only refrence of ruling - is your father.

2023-06-09 17:20:05 +0000 UTCNot sure if anyone mentioned but the line when thorfinn says "I dont have any enemies" was the same thing his father told him when thorfinn was going through his chest I think in episode 2 or 3 and Thors told thorfinn something about not needing to hold the blade because "you don't have any enemies".

It's easy to say he's going about it the wrong way but what other way can you think of to save and pacify war loving people in order to have everyone live at peace? Religion didn't help either. I see no other way but to unify all Vikings and order them to stop meaningless war, changing them slowly over time. There might be another solution but someone will have to prove it first. The only way to stop ppl fighting other clans and tribes is to unify them. They won't stop fighting at first though but over time some unity might be born. There will never be no fighting but some peace is better than none.

Im thinking the way to prove it would be to calculate the probability of a made up character matching with someone who already exists, factor in the probability of the other characters too, the probability of them existing during the same time and looking at history to see what places could potentially be considered Vinland. xD I dont know if its possible to calculate these things but if its a low enough number, it didn't happen. xD
