If you think about it most things that we knew about Endeavor that made him evil dad like were decisions he made based on Toya becoming more dangerous other than the actual punching and over training shoto until he puked. Not to say it's Toya's fault cause Endeavor still made all his own decisions but it's crazy thinking that he might have been somewhat less abusive/controlling, etc. potentially iif Toya hadn't gotten so out of control, attacked Shoto, and then died. Feels like all those events really drove Endeavor further to the edge.

The ecchi scenes would cater to Ron since he always comments when one pop up 🤣. And since they're both "new" to anime, tapping more into the world of cosplaying wouldn't be a bad idea

2023-05-12 18:58:08 +0000 UTCI think you guys should get some recommendations for another comedy genre anime to help lift up your spirits since you have quite a few emotional ones at the moment. Maybe request a short one and like a romantic comedy type. For light-hearted short romcoms, I recommend Toradora!, My Love Story!!, Tomo-chan is a Girl!, Ouran High School Host Club etc. There are others that I would recommend but would have quite a few seasons like Kaguya-sama which can be a long commitment for you guys so I won't recommend that until you guys are ready to take on a new long series anime.

He was just a kid who was told and encouraged to become the strongest, to be a hero, and he would make his father so proud that way because he was his father's son. He was his father's ambition and he knew that. Then, all of a sudden in his eyes, he was cast aside, told that he had to forget everything and do something else, something else he never was taught to give attention to. And despite countless tries, his father never saw him or gave him attention again. Instead, he got another brother, and then another one who his father was all about, just as he used to be with him. He was basically just thrown out :(( He was a kid full of emotions, who cried when his father didn't see him, and as shown danced in excitement when he learned a new move he could show his father. Cried in excitement because his father would be proud to see he was 'strong enough', and cried too much he set himself and the forest on fire without knowing how to stop it which lead to "his death". I don't agree or want to excuse his actions as Dabi because they are horrible and wrong no matter what, but he was just a kid :(

You see how Endeavor’s obsession consumed him and lead to him neglecting his kids and hitting his wife out of frustration. The man had tunnel vision in the worst possible way during Shoto’s flashbacks and when he first met him in season 2. You see how it started somewhat happy with the first two kids(as shown in the Dabi’s Dance flashback), but as soon as Toya started getting burnt, things went downhill. Neither Enji or Rei were able to properly handle their situation. It’s truly a tragic and human piece of writing, Horikoshi’s best. It’s notable how the story doesn’t shy away from how horrible Endeavor was, cause it highlights how much he has changed, and how much he regrets his actions. NTM, Hawks reaction highlights the difference between him and Dabi regarding their experiences. And this isn’t even all of it either, we still haven’t been shown how Toya became Dabi… that story comes later…
