Subaru's connection to the Jealous Witch is defo the big picture, you don't have to worry about that being forgotten or ignored throughout the anime. But some of the slightly smaller stories, such as Rem and Ram's backstory, are also relevant enough that you should take note of it and hopefully remember things like Ram losing her horn.

It might not be obvious, but there are either mentions of the witch or things connected to the witch, so you'll just have to keep an eye out for anything that sounds interesting or confusing lolz.

I really enjoy watching this anime again with both of you because i can see small details that will have a big impact later and small foreshadowing here and there, and its awesome !
