before i knew and read the manga about dabi i kinda noticed at season 3 when bakugo got kidnapped.. he grabbed the marble and called out shotos name like he knew him and another time was in season 5 when he comes out and meets endeavor after endeavor fought the nomu he says endeavors full name and then when they brought toya up i kinda put 2 and 2 together but didn’t really confirmed it till i read that part of the manga 🥹🥹

Plus like they pointed out before: fire quirks, same eye color as the picture, unusual level of interest in Shouto during that scene where they took Bakugo from camp, and them bringing up Toyo but being too mysterious about it way too much. But like you said maybe it's just something where your anime IQ and abiliity to guess plot twists goes up the more you've watched and the more stories you've scene.

Dabi being Toya has been hinted at since his introduction through Twice. In the arc where the class is training with the Wild Pussy Cats, one of Twice’s split personalities calls Dabi hot while the other calls him cold. Also in the episode where Twice died, Dabi tried to burn him and Hawks at the same time and Twice dodged but says the flames felt hot and cold. Tbh tho I didn’t notice until the show revealed that Shoto had an older brother that “died”

The prediction was obvious and with the experience anime watchers you kind of pick up on those patterns to be able to predict it. The execution was so perfect though!

It's actually a common trope for manga and anime when someone dead is repeatedly spoke of or highlighted about is actually being still alive, brought back to life or reincarnated. The same for when a character has flashback shown means something is going to happen to that character for example heavily injured, sacrificed or die etc. I did figure out Dabi since he had a fire quirk and the Todoroki Toya was being spoken of and highlighted. The opening and endingsong sealed the deal confirming Dabi is most definitely Toya so Manga readers definitely know it was a spoiler. Thankfully, Lemillion revival(his quirk) was not spoiled.

Im an anime only watcher and I actually thought it was one of the more obvious reveals, had fire powers, went by a fake name, when he first met shigaraki, he told him that he didnt need to know his real name yet or something like that lol, it was just a matter of when they would reveal it for me and I was surprised when it actually happened lmao. I sadly have to tell you, manga readers did predict or theorize that Dabi was Touya since way back when. It was annoying af, lol. Glad that you were genuinely excited for the Lemillion reveal. Alot of people were spoiled on Dabi but Mirio coming back was a major surprise that wasn't spoiled to lots of people, thank goodness.
