2023-04-27 11:50:56 +0000 UTCI highly recommend for anyone wanting to re-visit Naruto doing a quick google for "Rebuild of Naruto". All eps have been cut and edited into 1 hour episodes with all fillers and flashbacks removed. Its honestly a different experience and a much better one at that.

2023-04-27 08:36:19 +0000 UTCThe anime pace back in the days can be difficult for people who have watched anime like jjk, ds and aot etc. It's a norm back in the day so it was still fine for us who watched as it aired. Naruto slow pace actually also aims to build up tension for viewers since the show is in a war era time. Of course, the slow pace is also due to the anime stretching out so that they do not overshot the manga which was still ongoing at that time.

Shikamaru's techniques are available to anyone, it's just that they're too complicated to be simply copied, and they need to be taught to someone by a Nara clan member. Shikamaru's sand control is due to the sand spirit inside him.
