Coming this Tuesday...

If all goes as planned, the next Renegade Cut on The Neon Demon will debut on Tuesday. All episodes require a lot of research, days of reading articles and books, fact-checking and so on, but this one had me refamiliarize myself with everything from Shakespeare to Greek myth. Some of my research lead to some dead ends. There are a lot of takes on The Neon Demon on the Internet, and a lot of them are a little silly.

Try Googling "The Neon Demon" with "Legend of Zelda" and you will find dozens of theorists speculating that the triangles in the film make The Neon Demon an unofficial Triforce of Wisdom movie. Goodness gracious. Try Googling "The Neon Demon" with "Illuminati" and get ready for the deepest sigh. You know what? Triangles exist. The Illuminati does not. Not every triangle in art is a reference to something that only lives in minds that are hidden beneath tin foil hats.

I won't claim that my episode will be flawless, but I guarantee you that I will do everything in my power to make it at least coherent and worthwhile. See you on Tuesday!
