While I'm still resting up and figuring out what I want to work on for the next month or so, one of the easier things I can get out of the way is a review of Daisy's rig. My biggest concern is whether the rig can do what I want or need it to do, and if if can't, what will it take to get it there?
The teaser animation I'd planned was pretty simple - Daisy would lean into view, smile and wave, then slap a "coming soon" sticker onto the screen. Originally I'd intended to frame it so her breasts would never be fully in view - you'd see enough to know they're there, and that'd be it. But with how Daisy's built, the camera would need to be fairly close-up.
Now, the idea is that when she leans in, she'll be covering her breasts with one arm, which... will make the animation quite a bit more challenging.
Anyway, the review - At first glance, most of the controls I'd need for the teaser animation are already in place. The main exceptions are the "shaper" bones that allow her breasts to be reshaped - the bones are there, but they don't yet have any controls. I can still manipulate them directly, but this highlighted another problem - many of them can be difficult to locate. To get around that, I'll need to create a "picker" UI, a window with buttons corresponding to each control.
Another potential issue with the shapers, may not be something I can solve in the rig itself - they can only shape the breast in a broad sense. They don't have fine enough control to shape the mesh around her fingers like a marshmallow, for example. To get that level of control, I'd either need another layer that allows me to animate every point individually, or, once she's animated, I could employ shot-sculpting. My only concern with shot-sculpting, is I'm not sure that those changes can be exported to Blender for rendering...
Short version - she squishy, but could be squishier!
