Earlier today, my boss offered me an out. He knows I'm unhappy with this project, so he's willing to let me bow out if I need to, no hard feelings. Oddly enough, that's a much more difficult decision than I thought it'd be. It's one thing to say I'd like to quit when I think I don't really have that option. Now that I do, though? I need to think about it carefully.
On one hand, quitting this contract will free me up to work on this comic, my personal 3D work, Python scripts, perhaps some pinups... things I actually enjoy working on! On the other hand, it's a fair amount of paying work I'd be walking away from, when there's nothing else currently lined up. For all I know, the next contract could be months away!
