Keeping in the loop

Some quick-ish updates -

The good news is that the next comic page is mostly drawn!  There's just one more panel to go, but also a problem - where to put it.  It needs to go right in the middle, but getting it to actually fit is the trick.  Once that's all sorted out, I'll have to ink and color it when I can.  My goal is to have it done within the next week!

Something else I'm working on - getting a Discord server up and running.  It's already up, but currently access is limited until I  establish some rules and figure out how everything works. 

On the downside, it's a good thing there's still time until Halloween, because so far I haven't had time or energy to plan out poses for the voted pics.  My latest contract is putting me through the wringer!

This contract has reminded me of one of the reasons it sucks to go months without work - apart from the lack of pay during those months, it is a struggle to build up the desire to sit at my desk for hours working on something as frustrating as animation, especially when there are curvy cuties I could be drawing instead.

Making things worse - the guy the client hired before me had no clue what he was doing, meaning I have to clean up his many, MANY mistakes.  That makes this exactly the sort of job I'm sick of getting stuck with - when you handle outsourced work, it's almost always cleaning up after someone else's incompetence.  First they go cheap, then they have to pay more to have a professional fix it!

So far I'm about 1/3 of the way through it. Looking at my time sheet, I've got about 2 days' worth of work in...  but it's taken me a week, because I can only force myself to work at it for a couple of hours at a time.  And unless another contract starts soon after this one ends, I'm not likely to get back up to full speed.  That means that when the next one DOES start, I'll be going through this all over again, just like every other time I've gone months between contracts...
