New Year, Same Goals

I think I say this every year, but over the next year I want to focus more on my 3D work. I've made a lot of progress over the past several months - at least in terms of developing time-saving tools - and if I keep it up I might just get one of my characters animated in 2017!
Face rigging is one of the big things I need to focus on at the moment. Before my laptop's fan died, I was working on a new script for eyelids, which could also be used for lips. Looking at some demos on Vimeo, though, I may have quite a bit more to learn. One artist in particular has some super cartoony rigs that quite frankly have me stumped. Realistically, Daisy won't need a squashy/stretching rig, and I don't think Rose or Mary will, either. Knowing how to set up such a rig certianly couldn't hurt, though.
All this 3D-talk isn't to say I won't be drawing. At the very least, next month I plan on picking up my comic right where I left off. I may take a break from pinups, though... unless an I have an idea that begs to be drawn, of course. 3D animation is what I want to do, comics are a quicker way to tell stories, so I guess that makes pinups the odd one out, the one thing too many...
I've also been thinking about what changes I could make to my reward tiers, particularly if I'm focusing more on animation down the line. For the $10 tier, one possibility would be the Illustrator files for comic pages & pinups. At higher levels, perhaps access to some of my scripts or models (not Daisy), or even tutoring. First things first, though, I need to finish one of my characters.
