[EARLY TOY UPDATE] PAGE 20.61 - DIDN'T EXPECT THAT VOICE

it'd be weird to if we came all the way here and he couldn't do the voice, neil

Since this seems to be where our work schedule is falling as we get accustomed to new responsibilities, we've decided Suzana and I are gonna dial it back to once-a-week uploads for a little bit. We'll keep getting faster as we keep making pages, but hopefully by the time we switch back to two pages a week, we'll have had the chance to get a little buffer going. ♥ Plus we don't like making anyone worry when we're late!

Let us know— would you guys rather get a new update on Friday like this, or would you prefer to get an update each Monday, one full week ahead of the public website? We'd love your input before we make a decision!

Also! Take this sketch alongside this update ♥ We miss this!!

We definitely agree, making pages as excellent as we can matches up with our goals, too! ♥ No update day in particular is any easier for us; that's exactly why we wanted to throw the question out. Friday seems pretty good, though! I just wanted to add, for reassurance sake— Suzana and I don't feel stressed at all about TOY! Making this comic together has been our passion project for over a decade, and being able to work on it full time was one of the most deeply personal and fulfilling jobs we could ever ask for, even though it was never our goal to make it a job in the first place. The most stressful parts of making it are long behind us and well processed, too. We've been really blessed that it's been our only job for so long— and we can't say often enough how thankful we are for that! Now that we have a second job, TOY is no less important or special to us - it's just competing with some new time slots that are also filled by things that are also very important to us. We know the end result of our work looks like just a webcomic, but just know that if we seem eager to come back, it's not because of stress to get a product uploaded! Making TOY is Suzana and I's time, as a couple, time to sit and make things together— and the part that's most special to us all happens BEFORE we post the page. ♥ (Though we very much enjoy posting it, too!)

I have no opinion on which day, except that you should do whatever makes things easier for you! I want one excellent page a week, and I want your time to go into the "excellent" part rather than the "oops we promised this page a week early; we'd better get it done yesterday" part. And, you know, you should feel relaxed rather than stressed about all this. I love TOY, but it's only a webcomic, and you have actual people stuff to worry about.

I'd prefer Friday over Monday.
