Jackpot WIP
Added 2022-07-02 20:34:23 +0000 UTCSome progress on the comm for Kieran + the initial sketch + various graphics I made (will probably revise the touchpad one).
The scene was inspired by my visit to BLFC a month ago, as well as one of my favorite locations in FFXIV- the Gold Saucer. I simply love how casinos look. The interiors are always decorated with such grandeur and combined with all the bright colorful lights from the machines, it's just total eye candy.
I was using a bunch of reference pics of different casinos but funny enough the most helpful thing I did to get the atmosphere right was to log in to FFXIV and take a kajillion pics inside the Gold Saucer. The interior design they did there is actually incredible once you take in all the details, and it's interesting to study the balance of high contrast bright areas vs dark shadowed ones. I'll include a few screenies just in case you have no idea what I'm rambling about, lol.
There's still a way to go with balancing the background out, but I'm learning a lot from this.
