Would you rather like the story to be a bit more dark or can it be lighthearted?

It's giving "out of sight, out of body" I think you can have a mix of both. would encourage reading a few episodes on webtoons and that might give you an idea or some inspiration. Another somewhat paranormal comic akin to it might be "that awkward magic" one of my personal favourite comics. I think both of those might give good boundaries on how to balance both a dark story with a bit of a laugh. I think both of them set up pretty original rules for how their worlds work too. TLDR: do what feels right, but heres some inspo that I think does this well.
