there are very random days where i will decide to lock in and produce something absolutely marvellous once i stop giving a shit about the end result, this is one of those days 😭

i actually sketched this a couple of weeks ago but i wasn't happy with it in the slightest, been going through the most annoying art block as of late but i've already talked about that. anyway i had fun rendering this a bit more and tweaking some stuff about it and voila, now it's uhh acceptable by my standar...

anyway, I really struggled with this for over a week, and I'm unhappy with the last panel so I'll probably change it. in all of them I couldn't get the angles, the proportions, anything to look good or even right, it's so frustrating feeling like I can't even draw and getting massive impostor syndrome over it. Managed to churn something out once I stopped being too much of a perfectionist but eh<...

Sorry for the lack of activity lately! Feels like I'm in a slump with my art (not happy with anything I've been making) but somewhat satisfied with this I guess, even if it took me way too long to get there. Weird perspective and angle so I struggled a ton to make it look even halfway right. Tried to incorporate Lisa Fujise's style a bit here, I wonder if it worked out?

Not sure what else to add, just experimenting a bit with the kind of pen and shading techniques I want to use for this but I'm never sure. I'll figure it out as I go I guess.

so, for the longest time I didn't really want to do a wedding piece for cloti because I hated the idea of making something ultra cliché/cheesy. I wanted to do something that would represent their characters well, but at the same time... omg I just want to see them HAPPY and GRINNING and I randomly saw this ref as I was scrolling pinterest and I was like "yes."

so here it is, my first cloti wedding piece (at least the sketch) 👁️

Not the most exciting set of pages I'll admit, all still (mostly) unrendered. Been dealing with a lot this past week so progress has been a bit slow, I'm sorry. 😭 I have some other cloti projects I need to work on as well, but I'm hoping to get these out as consistently as I can 🙏 Hope you're all doing well, and thank you for your continued support!

Had a sudden infection on my hand a couple days ago which required a hospital visit since it got much worse, but I'm on the mend, taking meds and taking care of the wound as best as I can 🙂‍↕️

#1 - Cloti comic: Intro dialogue! (work in progress)

Very very unfinished drafts, all of these (and I'll have to redo the first two pages as well). Slowly but surely progressing on rendering this whole comic. The first pages I sketched back in March were so rough and I need to alter some things, I haven't even rendered the third page properly as I'm basically fixing it. Decided that I'll do as much of the line work as possible for each page and work as I go, rather than finish one page at a time - hopefully that'll be more efficient.

Also, good news: I've finished sketching all 86 pages of this doujin!!!

I can now move on to line work and rendering. I expect another hundred hours of work or so, maybe less. So of course, I want to take the time to thank you all so much for supporting me through this project, it's thanks to you that I can dedicate time and energy to these larger scale things!

Just a reminder that this whole comic is SFW, since it takes place on the day of their reunion 5 years l...

I have also shared with you all previous iterations of this commission that ultimately resulted in the final piece taking shape!

Since we wanted more focus on the stars and overall environment, we went for something that showed the beautiful night sky, while maintaining the same intimacy between them from the original proposition. It was a super fun process and I loved working with her on this — her feedback was invaluable!

I'm so glad she ended up loving the final result. 🥹�...

✨ Cloti comic update - More panel previews!

I'm alive 😭 I promise I'm still working really hard on this, but trying not to rush through it either, taking my time to figure out the right composition for each page. I've finished sketching about 58 pages/thumbnails (already longer than any of my previous comics), I'd say I'm about 3/4 of the way through my story...? Genuinely unsure how many more pages I need to do, but it's getting there!
