I'm back, and Usopp is finally here! 🏴☠️🌿
This one took a bit longer because I really wanted to push it further. Just having Usopp standing on a rock or surrounded by a few small plants felt too empty. We deserve more than that, and so does he!
Since we all love crazy details, this is by far the most detailed figure we’ve made so far 🔥 I learned some new sculpting techniques and even created a few brushes we’ll be using from now on. You’ll notice the scratches across his outfit, the variety of textures, the layered plants and grass on the base, and the overall balance of the whole piece. Hope you guys like it as much as I do ♥
As I mentioned earlier in the chat, I tweaked the small plant’s design while doing the cuts. The images below show a comparison.
I made this change to give more motion to the larger plant. Since it’s leaning forward, it makes sense for its leaves to flow backward. But the smaller one is idle, so its design needed to feel more grounded.
Big thanks to our dude Yonko Bob for the Sogeking mask idea popping out the bag!🙌
