While I agree, and I’d recommend a ring on his left nostril to match the movie, the artist may have used Jake Panian’s concept art for Hobie as inspiration. That actually has the piercing into the lip this way, rather than around it as you’d expect. You can find it pinned on his Instagram at jake.panian.art
