thats because he was watching japanese karate on the tv, karate and kung fu are 2 different diciplines.

My niece is of THAT generation, she loved Justin Beiber, and Jaiden Smith because of the song, which made her love the movie (at the time) yet she cant be bothered to watch the OG films. And as for the choreography, this IS a Jackie Chan film. You know hes gonna kill it in the action scenes in screen or behind a camera. As for the newest movie, havent seem it yet but no doubt its a money grab. However, after the success of Cobra Kai series, and the Nostalgia combo with Danny and Jackie, itβs definitely gonna get watched by me. If there are similar writers who are passionate about it like in Cobra Kai, it may just be greatβ¦ for a money-grab that is.
