2025-04-12 05:22:31 +0000 UTCJapanese Culture is beautiful, I learned a lot about the Bushido because of films like Karate Kid and later Ghost Dog Way Of The Samurai. Recently I have been looking into a sci fi series called Battletech, one of the Nations in that setting The Draconis Combine is based off Shogunate era Japan, and they do not discriminate on race or creed. Main character of the novel I was listening to Minobu Tetsuhara is a African man whose family gave their dedication to the Draconis because of the honorable tenets of the Samurai code. Minobu is a great character in the novel, he contrasts the government in the setting. While the ruling elite play politics Minobu stands firm to Bushido and Samurai ideals. A true knight in shining armor sort of guy.
