Zendaya, Challenger and Gen Z being Anti Sex?

There's a new movie in town "CHALLENGER" with Zendaya and it's challenging the perspective of sexually charged movies or movies that revolve around different relationship dynamics. In the wake of Saltburn and Poor Things, is this a new sex positive movie renaissance? And how does this affect the perspective and data that suggests Gen-Z is a more sex negative and more importantly, WHY!?

Zendaya, Challenger and Gen Z being Anti Sex?

Comments

Regarding Gen Z and sex negativity, I think y'all got some of it on the nose. For context: I was born in 2003 (20y/o) and I grew up in a right wing Catholic house in Texas and I'm libertarian and agnostic now.. Older Gen Z was in the transition phase for TV, SpongeBob, Fairly Odd Parents, Suit Life of Zack & Cody, etc.. I wanna say the big shift was in the mid to late 2010s, I started seeing more repetitive tropes and shows where you can easily predict the end of the episode or movie to this day. Early 2000s had plenty of instances of sex in media but 2010s is when Instagram, Snapchat, and music.ly (tiktok) came out as well as smart phones becoming more popular. That's the societal shift in my opinion because now porn is more accessible. You can find porn on Instagram and what teen who just got a smartphone had back then? Instagram. Years upon years of constant porn on the Internet, news about bans and lack of sex education (my sex education was in 8th and 11th grade and it was more on disease and how things work biologically) , and influenctial famous people who are sex negative are pushing the younger Gen Z to hate sex. Get the kids off the phones and the tablets, get them outside and stop having the Internet raise your kids.
