January 12th to January 25th

Hey hi folks!

Gosh, January's almost over already? It feels like it's been both like the longest, and the shortest, month in a while. 2020 hasn't been without its hurdles so far, but I'm glad to say I'm back in a place where I can write again. I've picked Plant Lamp (my next light novel) back up, and progress is coming along nicely! I might try to mix it up and share some of the work in progress with y'all this time around; I'll keep you posted. I'd really love to show off these characters but I want to be careful about spoilers, you know?

I've also been considering digging up a short story I wrote a couple years back (titled ELEN) to see if I can clean it up and—who knows—submit it to a sci-fi/fantasy magazine? Maybe? It feels like an exciting thing to try!

Those of you who are on my Patreon/Twitch discord server probably know what I mean when I say the past few weeks have been a hard, but important, lesson for me in community management. Recent events hit me very hard and took a lot of time to process; it's something I'm still reflecting on, and will be for a while—and I've been following up with friends and colleagues who have a lot more experience than I do in this field, getting advice for the future.

In the meantime, it's made me doubly thankful for the support and camaraderie of all the wonderful people who make that place and others, like my Twitch chat, so special. You're all part of a community I care about immensely, and I'm going to keep working to do right by you.

And speaking of Twitch, I've got some new things planned for my streams, such as a long-overdue layout overhaul and—maybe—some build streams too? I've got a lot of LEGO sets and gundam model kits, so perhaps I'll finally be able to get my overhead cam working the way I want it to. Fingers crossed!

Thank you again for your support; I really mean that. The past month—and heck, year—has been full of ups and downs, and your help has kept me going through the rough parts. I've still got so much I want to create, and share, and you're making that possible. Let's keep making wonderful things together.💙
